About me: Devon born, and Somerset bred; I have always been surrounded by countryside, seaside and wildlife. With Art being my favourite subject at school it also became a hobby, drawing cartoon characters in my spare time sat on my bed. I started painting on to canvas for my two children when they were born and displayed them on their bedroom walls. In 2012, my family and I moved to Ashbourne, Derbyshire and I started commissioning sketches of pet and human portraits. After learning our Daughter had scoliosis (severe curve of the spine) and with surgery probable, we decided to move back down to Dorset to be nearer family for support. Since then, I started painting again using my watercolours - I find it extremely therapeutic. With people of all ages in mind, I enjoy creating these wildlife animals, birds and landscape images of favourite destinations throughout my life - using my imagination and photos I have taken over the years with an image always in my mind of how I want it to look. I add my own twist on it and just love how this brings it to life; be it on your living room, kitchen or bathroom wall.
