I am a 26-year-old artist from South West London and I specialise in portraits. Art for me has always been the greatest transport mechanism for escapism. With escape as my aim, I always try and give my sitters a bold environment to inhabit - I am creating a world for this person and I see no use in creating one that is dull and bland. I want to celebrate the humans in my work - fictional or factual, from the eccentric to the ordinary, and try to give voice to the stories they would tell you about their lives and ambitions, if they had the chance. Freddy's work has had exposure on - Sky News, BBC, CNN, NBC, Russia Today, Fox News, Daily Telegraph, Daily Mail, Guardian, Spectator, The Independent, Al Jazeera, China Post, New York Times to name a few. Freddy is also featuring with his artwork in a documentary on ZDF (German State Broadcaster)about the rise of Anti-Semitism in Europe. Alongside these works I am working on a series called 'Broken Brands' in which i playfully deconstruct famous branded items before rebuilding them on canvas and giving them new life in my crazy psychedelic world.
