This painting was inspired by my love of painting the flowing tentacles of the jellyfish. I designed the dress around that principle! As my bio states I’m new to painting so this is only the second person I’ve painted. I wanted to depict her dancing in a floaty way, therefore no feet.
Dealing with cancer for over 10 years led me to connect with my creative side. Firstly by writing a book and later when I decided to teach myself to paint. In the short time I’ve been painting a passion has been ignited for art which has been instrumental in improving my health and well-being. Each new painting is a learning experience, I love to experiment with different subject matter and techniques. I have lived in West Sussex for over 20 years but am originally from Australia which is reflected in some of my paintings. Having left my job in 2018 I am now a full time artist. In addition to my individual artwork I paint murals with a partner under the name A Touch of Magic Murals. We have painted murals in several local schools; it is wonderful to be able to bring art alive for the kids. www.atouchofmagicmurals.co.uk I happily accept commissions for either artwork or murals; please feel free to message me. In addition I have an Etsy shop JaynesArtDesign and exhibit locally in West Sussex. more...
